the Year in Review
December 30th, 2004
My top 5 highlights for 2004, in no particular order:
- My marriage to MeLisa. Kinda tough to top this, huh? Our wedding in Antigua was awesome, and I was really happy that so many of our friends and family could be there. Definitely the highlight of my year, if not my life.
- Frank's Baltimore visit. It's always an adventure when Mr. Conti comes to town, and this trip was no exception. We partied, we played video games, we ate huge cheeseburgers, we played poker and we saw the Orioles get creamed by the Red Sox. It was definitely an eventful week.
- My birthday in Boston. My wife took me to an awesome hotel in Boston for a long weekend. We ate great food, did some shopping and got to hang out with Frank. It was an excellent birthday.
- Poker. Frank, Piergalline and I went to a local poker tournament while Frank was visiting. Since then, Piergalline and I have gone back every month. Sometimes we do well, sometimes we get crushed.... but we always have a damn good time.
- My new computer. This is the first brand new computer I have owned in a long time... and it was worth the wait. It's small, it's powerful, and it's oh so pretty.

Here's to an excellent 2004, and let's hope next year is just as good.
