Black Friday Updated: November 23rd, 2007 (RSS) MeLisa and I decided to retire the 19" TV in our bedroom and upgrade to an HDTV. I spent a couple of weeks scouring the web for the best deal, and decided on a 37" 1080i LCD HDTV from Target... for $549. Kind of a crappy brand, but for that price, who cares? I have never camped out for a Black Friday deal before, but Piergalline has, so we picked a Target nearby and made plans to get there before the store opened at 6:00 am. We arrived at 4:30 in the morning and only had roughly 20 people in front of us. By the time the store opened, we had a couple hundred people in line behind us though... People are INSANE on Black Friday... once the store opened, people were running into each other and grabbed at random items on shelves. Chaos. But, I managed to grab a TV pretty quickly and checked out within a few minutes. Victory!
