New house.... for real! February 20th, 2006 It's official, MeLisa and I are homeowners! We started looking for a house again a few months ago and quickly found one worth making an offer for. The offer was accepted and we went to settlement last week. And, unlike last time, everything went very smoothly.... the walkthrough was great, and settlement took less than an hour to complete. MeLisa and I took the day after settlement off to start moving into the house. I took these pictures when we got there: Some pictures of our lovely kitchen. This is basically the room that sold MeLisa on the house... And this is our basement, which is the room that sold me on the house Our master bedroom: We spent the rest of Friday shopping for new furniture. On Saturday, we had a bunch of people come over to help paint and put furniture together... and, drink champagne and eat pizza: Sunday was spent putting together more furniture. Thank to the help of friends and family we got 3 rooms painted, and just about all of the furniture put together. Here's a shot of our new dining room table: That's about it for now. Next weekend is the big move, and by the end of the month we'll be living in the new house full time. More pictures to come as progress is made in the new place!
