Best New Years ever...? January 1st, 2005 This morning I am hung-over, my throat hurts, I have a horrible headache.... but it was all worth it. The night started off at Piergalline's place. From there we moved into Fell's where we had dinner at Crabby Dicks. After some excellent crabcakes and a couple of beers, we moved on to The Admiral's Cup. Here it was more of the same... lot's of beer, jager, and kamikaze shots. When midnight hit and the ball dropped, MeLisa and I kissed. So why is it the best New Years ever? Because after we rung in the new year, we did some more drinking and more goofing off. The music was blasting and MeLisa decided she wanted to dance... so she and I got up and started dancing. Meanwhile, a group of older women had been dancing near us pretty much all night. When MeLisa and I got up to dance, Tehseen decided he didn't want to be left out and started dancing with one of the women we had previously been making fun of all night. MeLisa and I thought it was funny, we figured Tehseen was just being a dork. It never crossed our mind that he really wanted to dance with her... after all, this woman was not attractive. She was easily in her late 40's and overweight, and was wearing a weird pant-suit thing. ...which made it all that much more shocking when MeLisa and I looked over to see Tehseen passionately kissing the old woman. And when I say "passionately kissing", I mean... tongues fully inserted in mouths, heads moving back and forth, hands moving over bodies.... it was completely surreal. MeLisa and I stood there for a good 30 seconds while this took place. We couldn't move. We couldn't speak. We were deer caught in the headlights of this terrifying make-out session. Piergalline had been in the bathroom while all of this was taking place, and returned just as the kiss was ending. I looked over at him as he walked into the room, and I lost it. I ran over to explain what had just happened, and we spent the rest of the night giggling like schoolgirls. We left the bar a little later and drove home.... making fun of Tehseen the entire way. Tehseen couldn't offer up any explanation on what drove him to kiss her... and we still don't know if he started it, or what they had talked about before we pulled him out of the bar... I guess Tehseen isn't the type to kiss and tell Whatever the case, it was the perfect end to an otherwise normal night on the town. Here's to you Tehseen, for making this a very memorable New Years!
